Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
As an ethical and professional firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, we take our responsibility towards our valued employees, clients, community and environment seriously. This section explains how we engage with our stakeholders and exercise our corporate social responsibility (CSR).
We know our employees are our greatest asset and the reason that we can deliver our best service to clients and why we have grown mainly through client referrals. Therefore, we place great importance on attracting, developing and retaining talent. In practical terms, this means that we select and retain employees who can demonstrate their professionalism, integrity and respect towards each other, our clients and third parties.
In recognition of our employees’ effort and commitment to delivering an excellent service, we invest in their personal and professional development. In addition to providing financial support, our management team provide training, mentorship and practical guidance to help our people achieve their goals.
Our firm is able to grow because our clients provide us with the opportunity to serve them. Whether this is to deliver compliance services or to manage something more exciting, complex or specialised, we enjoy exceeding our clients’ expectations. This is perhaps why so many have been with us for so many years and have referred us to their business associates.
We appreciate our clients and always aim to deliver an honest, transparent and professional service to them. Consequently, we provide fixed fee structure for many of our compliance services and ensure that our staff have up-to-date knowledge and skills.
As a successful professional services’ business, we are grateful for the support that we have received from local businesses and individuals. In recognition of our belief that as members of society we should act ethically, respectfully and take responsibility for our actions, we donate to local, national and international charities. In addition, we support our employees when they take part in charitable activities and we encourage and provide paid leave for our employees to take part in charitable events.
Some of the charities that we support include:
- Action Aid
- Amnesty International
- British Heart Foundation
- Cancer Research UK
- Christian Aid
- Islamic Relief
- Red Cross
- Save the Children
These charities provide food, water, shelter, clothing, education, care or carry out research, so that those in need can live a basic/normal life. We hope that others will also take action to support charities that endeavour to improve lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.
We have only one planet that we call home and we believe we should look after at it as such. That is why we try to limit our impact on our environment by taking the following practical action:
- increase our use of electronic documents
- minimise printing
- car pooling
- use of public transport
- using energy efficient lights and equipment
- reduce our power consumption needs where possible
Through these and our other initiatives, we endeavour to minimise our environmental footprint and move towards becoming more carbon neutral.
